MISSION STATEMENT
To prepare men and women to fulfil the Great Commission by producing effective, well rounded, visionary Christian leaders who are biblically grounded, possessing Godly character and spiritual maturity.
Open Bible Institute of Theology (OBIT) seeks to provide theological education with a view towards preparing men and women for effective Christian life and ministry as pastors, evangelists, missionaries and lay-workers committed to God for a particular service. The school seeks to inspire devotion to Jesus Christ as divine Saviour and Lord, to the Bible as the inerrant Word of God, to the development of sound, consistent Christian character and to the task of evangelism both at home and abroad.
The Open Bible Institute of Theology is an independent educational ministry registered in Trinidad and Tobago as a charitable, non-profit organisation, thoroughly Biblical in its philosophy. It is a ministry of the Open Bible Standard Churches Inc. The school is a registered member of the CARIBBEAN EVANGELICAL THEOLOGICAL ASSOCIATION, (C.E.T.A.) whose Headquarters is in Kingston Jamaica. OBIT is also a sister organisation of the Eugene Bible College in Oregon, USA.
